How to Receive a Deeksha
"In Absentia"

Probably the earliest form of receiving "in absentia" is prayer. It has been proved from years of
experience that you don't need to be in the presence of someone who is praying for you to receive the benefits from it. Receiving a
deeksha in absentia works the same way as receiving a long distance healing or prayer.
Sometimes over 60% of those who register for online events choose to attend "in absentia," meaning they
aren't present (for various reasons) at the scheduled time. They receive the deeksha energies for enlighten-ment, boons, and
healings remotely--which they would be doing anyway, even if they were in our online conference room or on the telephone. The effect
is the same.
Depending where you are located in the world, it may be very late or early where you are during the deekshas,
and you don't even necessarily have to be awake. You can be--
- asleep
- in meditation
- just relaxed
- listening to soft music
- OR going about your normal activities
So, as you can see, there is really no right or wrong way to receive a deeksha in absentia. The deeksha energy has an intelligence
of its own and works in right timing. This makes your decision easy because it doesn't really matter. The choice
is yours.
If you choose to be awake and purposely receive the deeksha at the same time it's transmitted (whether adjusted for time zones, or not), try
to schedule things so you can have some quiet time to relax for 10 to 30 minutes after the deeksha. It's also helpful to be in a state
of receptivity, and especially, to be in gratitude.
These are just some guidelines to answer some of the questions you may have if you've never received a
deeksha in absentia before. In India we were always told that, basically, the most important thing when receiving deekshas for
enlightenment, healing, boons, etc., is to let go of any expectations.
Give it a try! Register for our next online deeksha event.
